SEAGLE FESTIVAL’S 2022 CHILDREN’S OPERA
Summer Tour: July 2022, In-School Tour: September 7 – October 7, 2022

For 2022, Seagle Festival is excited to announce the return of our touring children’s opera available for summer venues and in-school performances. This year we are producing the charming children’s opera THE THREE BEARS by composer/librettist Jonathan Stinson. The production is sung in English and appropriate for children pre-K to 6th grade.
WHO: Four of our talented 2022 Seagle Festival Emerging Artists and a pianist will perform the show live for your young audience members.
WHAT: The production of THE THREE BEARS is approximately 40 minutes long and will be followed by a Q&A session with the audience. The story follows the traditional fairy-tale with the added twist that Goldilocks is a homeless orphan. The show resonates with the principals of equality, fair-treatment, and empathy. In-school bookings also include our professional developed TEACHER GUIDE designed to prepare students for the performance and enhance their experience.
WHEN: The summer production is available for booking July 11-29, 2022. The in-school production is available for booking September 7 to October 7, 2022.
WHERE: Our troupe will travel to your venue of school and arrive approximately one hour prior to the performance to set up. The production requirements are minimal – just a space large enough for the show, and an enthusiastic audience are required. If you have a tuned piano available, we will use it, but also have an electronic piano available that travels with the production.

HOW: The summer tour fee is dependent on the size of your venue – please call or email for details. The in-school booking fee is $450 per school – all inclusive. No funds are due at the time of booking, and most in-school performances can be reimbursed or paid through your BOCES Arts in Education program (WSWHE, FEH & CVES)
